User agreement

Terms of service

These terms govern access to YourTimeline. Creating an account requires express acceptance of the Terms, Privacy policy, Compliance center, and Legal notice.

Account and service access

You must provide accurate information, control your account, use an allowed email provider, verify your email when required, and not bypass security or usage limits.

Access may be limited, suspended, or removed for abuse, security risk, unlawful content, infringement, or breach of these documents.

Your sole responsibility

You are solely responsible for every timeline, event, description, image, file, message, comment, suggestion, link, and other item you upload, publish, download, share, or reuse, and for the consequences of your actions.

You warrant that you have all rights, permissions, consents, and licenses required for the content and any personal data it contains. You must not upload unlawful, defamatory, fraudulent, privacy-invasive, infringing, malicious, or harmful material.

YourTimeline supplies a technical publishing and visualization tool. It does not verify the truth, legality, historical accuracy, professional suitability, or ownership of each user contribution.

Ownership and service license

You keep ownership of your original content. Your personal data does not become the property of YourTimeline.

You grant YourTimeline a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license, for the time needed to operate the service, to host, copy, cache, compress, transcode, back up, technically adapt, display, index, and distribute your content according to your visibility and collaboration choices. This license also permits security review, moderation, recovery, and enforcement of these terms.

When content is deleted, the operational license ends after the trash period and technical purge, except for restricted copies temporarily retained in backups, message history, security records, legal evidence, or where another user has independently reused content under an authorized feature such as a fork.

YourTimeline owns or licenses its software, interface, branding, and aggregated or irreversibly anonymized service statistics.

Public content, forks, and moderation

A public timeline may be viewed, linked, indexed by search engines, liked, commented on, reported, and forked where the interface permits. A fork creates an independent private copy and does not transfer access to the source owner's private data.

YourTimeline may hide, restrict, edit for safety, or remove content, accounts, messages, or access when reasonably necessary for law, rights protection, security, abuse prevention, service integrity, or enforcement.

Availability and limitation of liability

The service is supplied as available and may change, be interrupted, lose functionality, or contain errors. Keep independent exports of important material. No guarantee is made that content will always remain available or recoverable.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, YourTimeline is not liable for user content, reliance on user-provided information, third-party services, indirect loss, lost opportunity, or loss caused by misuse. Nothing excludes liability or mandatory consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Fulfillment and donations

The core service is currently provided free of charge. Digital access is supplied after account creation and may require email verification. No paid subscription, delivery of physical goods, or guaranteed service level is sold by YourTimeline.

Ko-fi support is a voluntary tip that does not purchase access, priority, ownership, advertising placement, or a promised feature. Ko-fi and its payment providers process payment data.

Refund policy

Voluntary Ko-fi support is generally final once processed, except for duplicate payments, processing errors, or rights that cannot legally be excluded. A supporter may request review within 14 days through Contact + suggestions and provide the Ko-fi transaction reference.

Any approved refund is handled by the project operator through Ko-fi or the payment provider. Their processing times and technical rules apply. This policy does not limit mandatory statutory rights.

Termination and changes

You may delete content and your account through the available controls, subject to the documented trash, security, backup, moderation, and legal retention periods.

These documents may change for new features, providers, legal obligations, or security measures. Material contractual changes may require a new explicit acceptance before further account use.
