YourTimeline is a visual editor for building chronological stories directly in a browser. It can be used for history, a resume, a family story, a research project, a company roadmap, or any subject where dates and relationships matter.
Create precise events or longer periods, add descriptions and images, move information bubbles, group related missions, and connect events with configurable lines, arrows, labels, and animations. The minimap and presentation controls help readers move from a broad historical view to a specific event without losing context.
The public gallery provides complete examples covering history, science, careers, art, climate, medicine, space exploration, and technology. Each example can be opened as an interactive timeline. Signed-in users can like public work, comment, fork an eligible timeline into a private copy, collaborate through roles, and exchange messages.
A timeline tool designed for real projects
The editor supports Gregorian, Hijri, and Japanese calendar displays, keyboard navigation between events, CSV and JSON workflows, custom groups, background images, advanced event descriptions, and a dedicated presentation mode. Images are compressed before upload to reduce storage and loading costs.
A temporary try mode lets visitors manipulate a timeline before registration. The draft remains in the browser so it can be recovered after creating an account. Saving, publishing, private collaboration, exports reserved for owners, and account features remain protected by authentication and server-side authorization.

A useful chronology is more than a list of dates. YourTimeline is built to show duration, cause, contrast, overlap, and perspective. Groups can hide or reveal related events, connectors can explain relationships, and the same date can support opposite interpretations in a comparison timeline.
